Sometimes you do not need a complete interior design, you need an experienced eye, a fresh perspective and professional guidance to help you understand why a room is not quite working and what you should consider next.
Our Interior Consultation is designed for clients looking for focused advice for an individual room.
We take the time to understand how you use the room, what you would like to change and the challenges you are trying to resolve. From layout and flow to furniture positioning, proportion and the overall direction of the interior, we help you establish clear priorities before you begin making significant decisions or purchases.
Interior Strategy Consultation — £295 including VAT*
You may already have furniture you love but cannot make the room feel resolved. Perhaps you are moving into a new home and are unsure where to begin, or you may be preparing to invest in new furniture and want to make sure you are choosing the right pieces and proportions before you buy.
Sometimes the difficulty is simply having too many possibilities.
Our Interior Consultation allows us to look at the room objectively, understand what you are trying to achieve and help establish a clear direction.
It is about making considered decisions before making expensive ones.
Strategy first. Design second.
We look at how the room is actually used, who uses it and what needs to happen there.
A living room may need to accommodate family life, entertaining, television, reading and occasional working. Understanding those everyday requirements helps establish what the room needs to achieve.
We assess how the existing room functions and how easily you move through it.
We can discuss furniture positioning, zoning and opportunities to make better use of the room, helping establish a framework for how the interior could work more effectively.
The scale of furniture can completely change how a room feels and functions.
We can advise on the approximate size, scale and type of furniture that may be appropriate for the room and where pieces could be positioned.
The consultation does not include sourcing or specifying individual items of furniture.
Starting again is not always the answer.
We consider existing furniture, artwork and other pieces you would like to retain and how these could influence the future direction of the room.
We establish what matters most to you and what you would like the room to do differently.
This helps distinguish the changes that could have the greatest impact from those that can wait.
We discuss the overall feeling you would like to create and consider how the room should relate to the rest of your home.
The purpose is to establish direction rather than select specific products, furniture, finishes or create a completed design.
We do not arrive at your home completely cold.
Once your consultation is booked, we send you our comprehensive Survey, which should be completed no later than 48 hours before your appointment.
This gives us an opportunity to understand you, your home, how you use the room and what you are hoping to achieve before we meet.
We review the information you provide alongside photographs, floor plans, measurements and other relevant project information.
We also review the inspiration you have collected.
Rather than simply looking at individual images, we look for recurring ideas, details and characteristics that have captured your attention. This often reveals patterns in what you are naturally drawn to and gives us a much deeper understanding of the direction you may want to explore.
Where appropriate, we also research your property and its context.
By the time we arrive, we are already familiar with your project and have identified the questions we want to explore with you.
This means less time bringing us up to speed and more time focused on your home.
Your consultation is a focused conversation about your room and lifestyle and what you would like to change. We assess the existing interior, discuss what is and is not working and explore the challenges you have been struggling to resolve.
We listen, question and offer an objective professional perspective.
We may challenge an idea where we believe another approach deserves consideration, identify opportunities you have not previously considered or help you recognise that something you thought needed replacing could actually be retained.
The aim is not to make every design decision during the appointment.
Your Interior Consultation provides professional direction rather than a completed interior design.
Specific furniture sourcing, detailed schemes, product specification, technical drawings and developed interior concepts form part of our full Interior Design service.

Your Interior Consultation is a standalone professional service. For some clients, professional direction is exactly what they need.
For other clients, the consultation becomes the beginning of a more detailed design journey. If you would like us to take the room further, we can develop the strategy established during your consultation into a complete Interior Design.
This is where we move into the detailed creative work: developing the scheme, sourcing individual furniture and products, considering materials and finishes, and resolving the different elements of the room as one cohesive interior.
Your personalised Design Proposal will explain the recommended scope and professional fees for your individual project.
Furniture and furnishings can represent a significant investment, and one of the easiest mistakes to make is purchasing individual pieces before understanding how the room needs to work as a whole.
A sofa can be exceptional in isolation and completely wrong in proportion for the room. A dining table may technically fit but leave insufficient circulation around it. Several individual pieces may each appeal to you but fail to work together once they are brought into the same interior.
Our consultation allows you to consider the room first.
We can advise on the approximate scale, positioning and types of furniture to consider, giving you a framework from which to make more confident purchasing decisions.
We do not source specific pieces of furniture as part of the Interior Consultation. If you would like Rejig Interiors to source and specify individual products for your room, this forms part of our full Interior Design service.
Please reach us at info@rejiginteriors.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No.
The Interior Consultation provides professional advice and establishes a clear direction for your room.
We can discuss layout, flow, furniture positioning, approximate furniture sizing and the overall direction of the interior, but we do not develop a completed room design during the consultation.
Detailed design development, specific furniture and product sourcing, specification and technical design work form part of our full Interior Design service.
We can advise on the type, approximate size, scale and positioning of furniture that we believe should be considered for your room.
We do not source or specify individual pieces of furniture as part of the Interior Consultation.
This distinction is important. Our aim during the consultation is to give you a framework from which to make better decisions rather than design the finished room within the appointment.
If you would like us to source and specify the individual pieces required to complete the interior, we can provide a proposal for our full Interior Design service.
Absolutely.
A successful interior does not necessarily require everything to be replaced.
We can consider the furniture, artwork and other pieces you would like to retain and discuss how these may influence the wider direction of the room.
Sometimes repositioning or reconsidering existing pieces can make a significant difference before anything new is purchased.
The Interior Consultation is intended for one room, keeping the scope focused allows us to explore your requirements properly rather than trying to cover an entire home within a limited appointment.
If you would like professional direction across several rooms or your home as a whole, our Home Strategy Consultation will be the more appropriate service.
Yes. In fact, this can be an excellent time to book an Interior Consultation.
Before purchasing furniture or beginning to decorate, we can help you understand how the room could function, the approximate furniture sizes you should be considering and the priorities for the interior.
This can provide a much clearer framework for the decisions you make once you move in.
Not at all.
Part of our preparation involves reviewing the inspiration you have collected and looking for patterns in what naturally appeals to you.
You do not need to arrive with a defined interior style or know exactly what you want. Understanding that is part of the process.
We can discuss the overall colour direction as part of understanding the room, but if your primary requirement is detailed colour advice across your home, our Colour Consultation may be more appropriate.
If you are unsure which service you need, contact us and we can point you towards the most appropriate consultation.
No, our Interior Consultation is a standalone professional service and there is no obligation to progress to full Interior Design.
However, the vast majority of our consultation clients choose to continue their project with us. We believe this comes from the relationship we build during the consultation, the passion and expertise we bring to their project, and the confidence that comes from experiencing our approach first-hand.
If you would like to continue, we will provide a personalised Design Proposal outlining the recommended scope for the next stage of your project and our professional fees.
You do not always need to start again.
Sometimes, understanding what is not working, what should stay and where your investment will make the greatest difference is enough to completely change the direction of a room.
Your Interior Consultation gives you focused professional advice and a clear strategy for what comes next.
