Choosing a paint colour can feel deceptively simple. In reality, colour is affected by natural light, orientation, architecture, adjoining rooms and the existing elements within your home.
Our Colour Consultation gives you professional guidance to establish a considered colour scheme for one room or across multiple rooms, helping you make confident decisions before the decorating begins.
The service is priced per room, allowing you to choose exactly how much of your home you would like us to consider.
Colour Consultation — £299 including VAT*
Colour is one of the most impactful and often overlooked elements of an interior. The right palette can uplift, soothe, energise or calm, shaping not only the atmosphere of a room but how you feel within it every day.
Choosing the right colours, however, is rarely as simple as finding a shade you like.
Natural light, room orientation, architecture, existing finishes and the relationship between adjoining rooms can all influence how a colour appears and how it changes throughout the day.
Our in-home Colour Consultation gives you professional guidance to establish a considered colour scheme specific to your home, helping you make confident decisions before the decorating begins.
Strategy first. Design second.

Paint may be relatively easy to change, but once you consider the cost of the paint itself, preparation and professional decorating, choosing the wrong colour can become an expensive mistake.
Our Colour Consultation looks beyond individual paint swatches to consider how colour will actually behave within your home.
We assess the quality and direction of natural light, the architecture of the room, existing elements that will remain and how colours relate as you move from one area of your home to another.
Whether you are refreshing a single room, trying to create a cohesive colour story throughout your home, matching a scheme to a favourite artwork or existing piece, or finally finding the confidence to introduce something bolder, we help you establish a direction that feels considered and appropriate for your home.
Natural light has an enormous influence on colour.
We consider the quality of light within the room, how it changes throughout the day and how this may affect the colours being considered.
North, south, east and west-facing rooms experience light differently.
Understanding the orientation of your room helps us establish which colour directions are likely to work successfully rather than relying on how a paint colour appears on a screen or sample card.
Our home already contains visual information that can influence a colour scheme.
We consider relevant existing finishes, fixed elements, artwork and cherished pieces that will remain within the room, ensuring the proposed colours work comfortably alongside them.
Where required, a colour-matching service is also available to help establish a colour that works with a particular existing element.
Walls are only part of the opportunity.
Ceilings, skirting boards, architraves, doors, cornicing, panelling and other architectural features can all be considered as part of the paint plan, allowing colour to be used in a much more intentional way.
Colour is experienced as you move through your home.
When several rooms are included within your consultation, we consider how individual colours relate to one another and the views between rooms.
Cohesion does not mean every room needs to look the same. It means the individual decisions feel considered as part of a wider home
Colour has the ability to completely alter the atmosphere of a room.
We take time to understand how you would like the room to feel and use this alongside the characteristics of the property to inform our recommendations.
Rejig Interiors is not tied to any particular paint manufacturer.
This gives us the freedom to consider colours across different paint brands and make recommendations based on what we believe works best for your home rather than being restricted to one manufacturer's colour card.
Our recommendations are led by your property, its light, its architecture and what you would like to achieve.

Our Colour Consultation begins well before we arrive at your home.
Following booking, we ask you to provide photographs of the rooms being considered, together with any relevant inspiration images and project information, no later than seven days before your appointment.
We review everything you share with us in advance, familiarising ourselves with your home, its existing features and what you are hoping to achieve. We also look for patterns within your inspiration, identifying recurring colours, tones and approaches that give us insight into what you are naturally drawn to.
From this, we begin to develop the foundations of your colour scheme before we meet, considering potential colour directions and how these could work within your home.
We then bring these ideas to your consultation, where we can assess them within the room itself. Natural light, orientation and the existing interior can significantly influence how a colour behaves, so this is where we test our initial thinking, explore alternatives where appropriate and fine-tune the scheme with you.
This means we do not arrive at your home completely cold. We arrive prepared, with an understanding of your property and an initial direction already in mind, allowing the time we spend together to focus on refining the scheme and making confident colour decisions.
By the time we meet, we will already have reviewed the information and inspiration you provided and begun developing the foundations of your colour scheme.
During your 60-minute in-home consultation, we assess our initial ideas within the room itself, considering the natural light, orientation, architecture and existing elements that will remain.
We will work through the proposed colour direction with you, viewing colours within their actual surroundings and exploring alternatives where appropriate. This is our opportunity to see how our initial thinking responds to your home, discuss your preferences and fine-tune the scheme together.
We will also consider how colour could be used across walls, ceilings, woodwork and architectural details, rather than treating each surface in isolation.
Where multiple rooms have been booked, we consider how the individual schemes relate to one another, creating a sense of connection as you move through your home.

Following your consultation, you will receive a personalised Colour Report detailing the recommendations established for each room included within your booking.
Pre/Consultation Summary → what we established
Paint colours → The specific colours recommended for your room.
Paint placement → Clear guidance on where each colour should be used.
Paint finishes → The appropriate finishes for the surfaces being considered.
Your paint plan → A clear record of the agreed approach, providing you and your decorator with a reference when work begins.
Unlike our strategy consultations, the Colour Consultation is designed to provide you with specific paint recommendations that you can take forward.
The service is focused specifically on paint and architectural colour. Furniture sourcing, soft furnishings, lighting, accessories and wider Interior Design are not included.
This service could be right for you if you are:
Planning a refresh and need professional guidance before committing to paint colours.
Struggling to create cohesion between different rooms within your home.
Updating a single room and cannot quite find the colour that works.
Working with something you already love, such as artwork, an existing finish or cherished piece, and want the colour scheme to complement it.
Considering something bolder but would like professional reassurance before committing.
Preparing for your decorator and want your colour decisions resolved before work begins.
Priced Per Room
Not every client needs colour advice for an entire property, which is why our Colour Consultation is priced per room.
You can book professional colour advice for a single room or speak to us about several rooms if you would like to establish a more cohesive palette throughout your home.
For open-plan interiors, hallways, landings or interconnected areas where it is unclear how the consultation should be priced, please contact us before booking and we will advise.
Please reach us at info@rejiginteriors.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Your consultation includes a professional assessment of the room booked, considering its natural light, orientation, architecture, existing elements and what you would like to achieve.
We then establish a proposed paint plan for the room.
Following your consultation, you will receive a detailed Colour Report identifying our recommended paint colours, finishes and where they should be applied.

If you would like us to consider more of your home, you can add up to three additional rooms when booking.
Additional rooms are charged at a reduced rate of £249 per room, rather than the standard £299 single-room consultation price.
When booking, simply select:
Additional Room Consultation - for one additional room
Two Additional Rooms Consultation - for two additional rooms
If you would like us to consider three additional rooms, please select both options when booking.
For larger homes requiring colour advice across more than four rooms, please contact us directly. We will create a tailored quotation to reflect the number of rooms involved and the additional preparation required before your consultation.
Yes. We recommend booking your Colour Consultation before your decorator is scheduled to begin, allowing time for your colour scheme to be properly considered and resolved before any decorating work starts.
Colour Consultations can be booked a minimum of 14 days in advance. This gives us the time required to review the information and inspiration you provide and begin developing the foundations of your colour scheme before we meet.
Following your consultation, you will receive a clear paint plan for your decorator to work from, avoiding rushed decisions once preparation or painting is already underway.
If you already have a decorator booked, we recommend working backwards from their start date and allowing sufficient time for both your consultation and the preparation of your final Colour Report.

The right colour scheme can completely change how your home feels.
