Professional bathroom advice before committing to the decisions that will shape your new bathroom

Bathrooms may be among the smaller rooms in our homes, but they are also some of the most technically demanding.

Our Bathroom Strategy Consultation is designed to establish what your bathroom needs to achieve before detailed design begins. We take the time to understand how the existing room functions, what is not working, who will use it and what you would like to change, helping to establish a clear brief and priorities for your future bathroom.

Small Room. Significant Decisions.

Bathrooms bring together water, electrics, heating, ventilation, lighting, storage and sanitaryware within a relatively compact footprint.

Decisions made early in the project can have consequences that are difficult and sometimes expensive to change once work has begun.

Before deciding what your bathroom should look like, the Bathroom Strategy Consultation allows us to understand how it needs to work, the problems the new room needs to resolve and the priorities that should ultimately inform its design.

Strategy first. Design second.

Your Consultation Starts Before We Meet

We do not arrive at your home completely cold.

Once your consultation is booked, we send you our comprehensive Style and Needs Survey, which should be completed no later than 48 hours before your appointment.

This allows us to understand more about you, your household, your existing bathroom and what you hope to achieve before we meet.

We review the information you provide alongside photographs, floor plans, measurements and any other relevant project information. Where appropriate, we also research your property and its context.

We also review the inspiration you have collected. Rather than simply looking at individual images, we consider the recurring ideas and details that have caught your attention, helping us understand the overall direction you are drawn towards without moving into the design itself.

By the time we arrive, we already understand the foundations of your project and have identified the questions we want to explore further.

This means less time bringing us up to speed and more time focused on the decisions that matter.

DURING YOUR BATHROOM CONSULTATION

Your consultation is an in-depth conversation about your existing bathroom, the people who use it and what the future room needs to achieve.

We assess the room as it currently stands, discuss what is and is not working and explore your requirements, priorities and any concerns you may have about the project.

We listen, question and, where appropriate, challenge assumptions. Part of the value of professional advice is identifying considerations or opportunities that may not have been apparent at the outset.

We are not designing your bathroom during the consultation.

Detailed layouts, sanitaryware selection, finishes, lighting design and specification belong to our full Bathroom Design service, where they can be properly explored, developed and resolved.

The consultation establishes the brief that the eventual design needs to answer.

What Will You Receive?

Your personalised proposal for progressing to our full design service, including fees, payment terms and any relevant additional costs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Please reach us at info@rejiginteriors.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Following the consultation, we will provide a personalised proposal.

For a luxury bathroom, including installation, we recommend allowing an overall project budget in the region of £18,000+.

The final investment will depend on the size and complexity of the room, the products and specification selected, and the extent of installation and associated works required.

Bathrooms are technically demanding rooms, and the overall budget needs to account for considerably more than the visible products. Installation, plumbing, electrics, preparation, waterproofing and other associated works can represent a significant proportion of the total investment.

During your Bathroom Strategy Consultation, we can discuss your expectations and help establish whether your proposed budget is realistic for what you would like to achieve.

Yes. For bathrooms designed by Rejig Interiors, we specify and supply the products required to deliver the finished scheme.

We work predominantly with established European manufacturers with exceptional reputations for quality, performance and longevity. Our approach is not tied to a particular brand or product range, allowing us to select the products we believe are best suited to your individual project.

Understanding your intended investment is important. The bathroom market is incredibly broad, from beautifully engineered products offering excellent quality and value through to luxury, handcrafted brassware and highly specialist pieces. Having an indication of budget allows us to specify intelligently and focus your investment where it will have the greatest impact.

We look beyond appearance when selecting products. Construction, performance, reliability, guarantees, availability of replacement parts and manufacturer support are all considered as part of the specification.

Ultimately, our role is not to fill your bathroom with the most expensive products available, but to specify the right products for your project, priorities and investment. Find out more about our bathrooms here.

Buying bathroom products online has never been easier. Buying the right products is considerably more complicated.

A bathroom is made up of multiple components that need to work together, fit the room and be compatible with the services available. A product may look perfect online, but arrive incomplete, be unsuitable for the intended installation, require additional components you were not expecting, or simply not fit.

Returns can then become costly and inconvenient, particularly with large, heavy or specialist bathroom products. Discovering an incompatibility once installation has begun can be considerably more expensive.

There is also an enormous difference in quality across the bathroom market. Products that appear very similar online can differ significantly in their construction, engineering, performance, guarantees and availability of replacement parts.

Speaking to a bathroom designer before purchasing allows the room and its requirements to be considered before products start arriving at your door.

At Rejig Interiors, product selection forms part of our full Bathroom Design service. We consider suitability, compatibility, quality and longevity alongside appearance, helping ensure that the products eventually specified work together as part of one resolved bathroom.

Our advice is simple: plan first, specify second, purchase last.

Longevity is an important part of how we specify a bathroom. We predominantly work with established manufacturers whose products are supported by substantial guarantees, although the exact period will vary according to the individual product and manufacturer.

Depending on the products specified, guarantees can include:

Mirrors — up to 5 years
Bathroom furniture — up to 10 years
Brassware — up to 15 years
Sanitaryware — up to 25 years

A guarantee alone does not determine what we specify, we also consider the quality of construction, performance, reliability, availability of replacement parts and the manufacturer's reputation for aftercare.

Bathrooms are expected to withstand years of intensive everyday use, so we believe the products behind the finished room should be selected with the same consideration as the design itself.

Specific manufacturer guarantees will be confirmed as part of your final product specification.
